The Animation Society of India

La Animation Society of India (TASI) è stata fondata con lo scopo di accrescere la conoscenza delle tecniche di animazione in India. L’obiettivo principale della società è quello di coinvolgere le nuove generazioni ed il pubblico; allo stesso tempo intende fornire un mezzo per lo scambio di informazioni creative e tecniche all’interno dell’industria dell’arte e dell’animazione indiana, in modo da rafforzare i talenti esistenti ed incoraggiarne la crescita, occupandosi della formazione e della promozione degli artisti emergenti in India.

  

The Animation Society of India (TASI) has been formed with the aim to increase the awareness of the medium of animation in India. The Animation Society’s formal objective is to educate the emerging generation and the public at large.
At the same time, they wish to provide a platform for promoting the exchange of creative and technical information in the Indian art and animation industry, thus strengthening the existing talent and encouraging growth by educating and guiding the prospective artists in India.
     
Anifest India
Anifest India esplora idee interessanti provenienti da un largo raggio di prospettive artistiche ed intellettuali, che includono mezzi tradizionali, tecnologie d’avanguardia, produzione e management, formazione, valutazione dei film e delle arti associate. I partecipanti al festival sono incoraggiati a vedere l’arte dell’animazione ed il mondo in un modo nuovo, e svolgere il proprio lavoro con vitalità, humour e con la sincerità che si ritrova nelle conversazioni tra amici intimi.
Quest’anno Anifest India è stato organizzato a Mumbai, dal 15 al 17 agosto 2008, e queste animazioni sono state proiettate
in occasione di quest’ultima edizione.		   Anifest India explores challenging ideas from a wide range of artistic and intellectual perspectives, including traditional mediums, cutting edge technology, production
and management, education, film appreciation,
and associated crafts. Festival participants are encouraged to view the art of animation and the world in new ways,
and to approach the task with the vitality, humour and candour one finds in conversations among close friends.
This year Anifest India was organized in Mumbai between August 15-17, 2008, and these animation films
were screened during this last edition.
