Fondato nel 1960 presso il Prabhat Studio a Pune, il Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) ha raggiunto gli obiettivi che si era premesso nel campo della formazione per regia e produzione di programmi televisivi.
Oggi il FTII è considerato un centro di eccellenza non solo in India ma anche in Asia ed in Europa. I film girati dagli studenti vengono proiettati in festival sia in India che all’estero, e molti di loro hanno ricevuto riconoscimenti nazionali ed internazionali.
Gli alunni del FTII hanno avuto successo nell’industria del cinema e della televisione indiana, ed hanno ottenuto
riconoscimenti in tutti i campi.

Established in the year 1960 on the erstwhile Prabhat Studio premises at Pune and thereby inheriting a rich legacy in quality cinema, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has truly lived up to its avowed objective in the field of imparting training in filmmaking and television programme production.
Today the FTII is considered as a center of excellence not only in India but also in Asia and Europe. Films made by the students of the Institute are entered in festivals both in India and abroad, and many of them have won national and international awards.
The alumni of the FTII have penetrated all corners of the Indian film and television industry and have excelled in all its fields.

Stations is about the stations in life
that people go through: birth and death,
rites of passage, relationships, marriage and infidelities, migration and homecoming.

I want to escape from this world, which asks for duties, unavoidable confrontations and above all the reality itself. I want to fly…through the mist… between the clouds…and vanish finally at the end of the horizon.
